Why invest?

A proven ability to create AAA PC and console games at structurally efficient budgets

We have a proven track record in creating world-class, distinctive PC and console games in the global gaming market. Remedy is one of the few studios capable of creating games classified as AAA, characterized by large production budgets, high quality standards, and extensive marketing efforts.

High-quality AAA titles can continue to sell for years after release in digital channels, with minimal incremental cost. In addition to consumer sales, high-quality games are sought-after content for game subscription services as well as in the competition between digital storefronts. Agreements with platforms can provide us with an additional revenue stream that helps offset the risks related to per-unit game sales.

Remedy is able to create these AAA games at a fraction of the development cost compared to most of our peers, supported by our proprietary Northlight technology and a Nordic cost base. This lowers the volume needed for a game project to reach profitability.

A game portfolio and two franchises with significant growth potential

Franchises are more important than ever as player loyalty increasingly consolidates around strong IP. Remedy has created three major franchises over its history, a rare achievement in the industry. We own two of them, CONTROL and Alan Wake, and retain the creative capability of creating world-class franchises. We have category-defining games on the market and a promising development pipeline. Strong and distinctive game brands are a key means of differentiation for Remedy in a competitive games market.

Owning our franchises gives us an attractive risk-to-reward profile as a developer. Larger and more established audiences lead to higher expected sales and more predictable demand, which lowers the risk carried by each new launch.

Our games also share the Remedy Connected Universe, so every release draws players toward the rest of the portfolio. Sequels and add-on content can also yield operational synergies, as they can be built around existing worlds, characters and technology.

World-class partners for building success, also beyond games

Remedy works with the leading companies in the industry. We collaborate with the publishers Rockstar Games and Epic Games, and work with platform owners such as Sony, Steam and Microsoft. Our partnership network is complemented by a strategic collaboration with Annapurna Pictures, which helps us expand our game brands beyond games, and capture the expanding transmedia opportunities.

A strong foundation for profitable growth through more regular game releases and self-publishing

We are building toward an average of one release per year through our multi-project model. A steady release cadence spreads revenue across years and builds a larger catalogue, which grows our sales and profits and expands our audience. Profits from these games can be reinvested into upcoming game projects with attractive return profiles, each launching to a larger audience than the last, which gives the model a compounding effect. We also benefit from the long tail of our back catalogue sales, which adds a stabilizing layer to our revenue.

Self-publishing enables us to retain the full commercial upside of each title along with control over the direction of the franchise.
