Jean-Charles Gaudechon (b. 1977) is the CEO of Remedy since 2026. Jean-Charles has over 20 years of leadership experience from the global gaming and digital entertainment industry. Prior to joining Remedy, Jean-Charles held senior leadership roles at international gaming companies, including Electronic Arts and CCP Games, where he held senior executive positions with full P&L responsibility.

Gaudechon holds a master’s degree (with honors) in computer science from Université Paris 13 and a bachelor’s degree in general management from University of Paris I Sorbonne.

Markus Mäki (b. 1974) is one of Remedy’s original founders. Mäki is one of the pioneers of the Finnish video game industry with decades of experience including being one of the key people behind Futuremark Ltd. He has participated in every Remedy game project since the founding of the company, mainly in production and technology management roles.

Mäki holds an English bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from the Espoo-Vantaa Institute of Technology (currently Metropolia University of Applied Sciences).

Santtu Kallionpää (b. 1981) has been Remedy’s CFO since 2024. In addition to his financial expertise, Kallionpää is experienced in consumer business ranging from steering strategic projects to business development and performance management of key operations. Before joining Remedy, Kallionpää acted as the VP Finance and Business control of Fazer Confectionery.

Kallionpää holds a master’s degree in engineering from Helsinki University of Technology.

Sami Järvi (b. 1970), better known as Sam Lake, acts as Remedy’s Creative Director. He is one of the most respected writers in the video game industry. Järvi has been with Remedy since its first game that was published in 1996 and he has been involved in creating all Remedy’s game brands, including Max Payne, Alan Wake, Quantum Break, and Control. He is a key part of Remedy’s creative DNA and storytelling brand.

Mikael Kasurinen (b. 1978) has been Remedy’s Creative Director since 2024. He started at Remedy in 2001, working first on Max Payne 2 and then continuing as a design lead on Alan Wake. Between 2010-2014 he worked at Avalanche Studios and DICE as a lead designer on games such as Mad Max and Battlefield 4. In 2014 he returned to Remedy as a Game Director on Quantum Break and then continued on to direct Control. Currently he is the Game Director of Control 2 and the Control franchise.

Kasurinen has studied at Jyväskylä Polytechnic and holds a bachelor’s degree in software engineering.

Johannes Paloheimo (b. 1984) acts as Remedy’s Chief Commercial Director, and he has been with the firm since 2012. Before joining Remedy, he served as a management consultant at the Finnish-Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Stockholm.

Paloheimo holds a master’s degree from Chalmers University of Technology and a bachelor’s degree in industrial management from Arcada University of Applied Sciences, Helsinki.

Mika Vehkala (b. 1978) has been Remedy’s Chief Technology Officer since 2023. He has extensive video game industry experience creating games for over 28 years. Past experience includes working for studios such as Redlynx, IO Interactive, Guerrilla Games and Next Games where he has worked on projects including Hitman Absolution, Killzone Shadow Fall, Horizon Zero Dawn and The Walking Dead: No Man’s Land.

Vehkala has studied Computer Science at University of Helsinki.
